Sonic Lost World – – Is There Hope For the Future of Sonic the Hedgehog?

For a little more than ten years,  Sega has been cranking out probably the stupidest Sonic games in existence.  These horrible abominations consist of Sonic turning into a werewolf, carrying swords while acting like a knight, having lust for humans, doing the corniest spoken dialog, and constantly sitting out and making way for annoying, stupid characters to take over the gameplay.
Now what should gamers expect in a Sonic game?–To be Sonic and run fast like he always has been since the Sega Master System.  Well, it hasn’t been this way in a while, unfortunately.  We haven’t had a good sonic game in any home console in over a decade with the exception of Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations.   But is there light at the end of the tunnel?
Well, a new sonic game is coming out for the Wii U in October.
Speaking of the Wii U, even Nintendo is going down hill.  Last quarter,  only 160, 000 consoles were sold due to lack of games and terrible marketing.
So if a new sonic game is coming to Wii U, that could be like killing two birds with one stone.  That is, if the game offers what it promises..
Sonic Lost World looks like a game going back to the roots of Sonic the Hedgehog.  It looks like a good game where you are Sonic…and only Sonic.  A game where you run fast like it’s supposed to be.  It looks like a game that will be remembered as a classic as opposed to the embarrassments of the previous titles.
This could possibly be Sega’s last chance at delivering a great Sonic platformer,  and if i gives the fans what they desire, we could put all those terrible sonic games behind us and the Wii U can get back up and dust itself off.  I have high hopes for this game.
I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel.
